Ownership and Management
Ownership and Management Information
Jurnal Hurriah: Journal of Educational Evaluation and Research is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by Yayasan Pendidikan dan Kemanusiaan Hurriah Aceh (Hurriah Education and Humanitarian Foundation) in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. The journal's publishing arrangements, editorial responsibilities, and principles of independent management are structured as follows.
1. Institutional Responsibility and Publisher
The journal is published within the institutional framework of Yayasan Pendidikan dan Kemanusiaan Hurriah. The publishing unit provides institutional oversight and supports the continuity, development, and responsible management of the journal.
Institutional responsibility for the journal is distinct from copyright in individual articles. Article ownership and reuse are governed by the journal's Open Access and Copyright policies.
2. Editorial Management
Editorial management is led by the Editor-in-Chief, supported by handling editors and editorial board members whose names and institutional affiliations are listed on the Editorial Team page.
- Editor-in-Chief: Oversees the journal's scholarly direction, editorial standards, and implementation of publication policies. Responsibilities include supervising editorial decisions, ensuring rigorous peer review, and addressing ethical concerns, corrections, and appeals.
- Handling Editors: Assess submissions within their fields of expertise, select qualified independent reviewers, coordinate the peer review process, and make editorial recommendations or decisions within their delegated responsibilities.
- Editorial Board Members: Contribute subject-matter expertise, provide advice on scholarly standards and journal development, and assist in manuscript assessment when free from relevant conflicts of interest.
- External Reviewers: Provide independent scholarly assessments of manuscripts. Reviewer recommendations inform editorial decisions but do not replace the final responsibility of authorized editors.
3. Administrative and Technical Management
The editorial office coordinates journal administration and communication with authors, reviewers, and readers. Administrative and production responsibilities include:
- Maintaining submission and editorial correspondence records.
- Coordinating copyediting, layout formatting, author proofing, and quarterly publication scheduling (March, June, September, and December).
- Maintaining accurate article metadata and journal information.
- Collaborating with technical personnel for website maintenance and Open Journal Systems (OJS) workflow management.
- Monitoring digital archiving and preservation deposits.
- Supporting the implementation and documentation of publication ethics and journal policies.
Access to confidential manuscripts, reviewer identities, and editorial records is restricted based on assigned responsibilities. Administrative or technical access does not confer authority to make scholarly editorial decisions.
4. Editorial Independence
Manuscript acceptance decisions are based strictly on relevance to the journal's focus and scope, scholarly quality, methodological rigor, originality, supporting evidence, and compliance with publication ethics requirements.
- Institutional affiliation, financial contributions, publication fees, or personal relationships must not influence acceptance or rejection.
- The publisher must fully respect the independence of editorial decisions.
- Editors must disclose competing interests and recuse themselves when impartiality could be compromised. Submissions authored by editors or editorial board members are handled independently through separate conflict-of-interest workflows.
- Publication of an article does not imply institutional endorsement of all views expressed by its authors. Authors remain solely responsible for their arguments, data, and conclusions.
5. Accountability and Contact
Inquiries concerning journal management, publishing arrangements, or editorial procedures may be directed to the editorial office through the Contact page on the website: https://academicareview.com/index.php/jh/about/contact
- Concerns regarding an individual editor are referred to an independent editor or appropriate management handler.
- Matters involving the Editor-in-Chief are referred to the publishing foundation (Yayasan Pendidikan dan Kemanusiaan Hurriah) for independent review.
- Any changes to institutional responsibility, publishing arrangements, or leadership will be updated transparently on the journal's official information pages.
